http://angrys0ul.blogspot.com now has a new Title Image and I wanted to mention it because I made it myself
(ofcourse using Photoshop).
The image source is Socksoff, there are lots of other good images there which you can use as decent wallpapers and they are free for personal use.
[usage] Wallpapers are free for personal use only. You may not use them for commercial purposes or redistribute them.
Used this image as the base, cut a part of it, added rounded corners (which is the defacto web 2.0 standard for images, not really but everyone uses the effect now-a-days and the reason is obvious it looks good) , added text, some text effects and its Done.

Im definitely not a regular blogger and also my blog is not something people keep checking often to see if i have posted anything new but this blog is one you can’t wait to read a post from
(or may be its just me)
Its the blog of a NewYork cab driver more over she is female. Hope you feel interested now
With the above link NewYork Hack’s search engine ranking is definitely going to be higher because search engines give good weightage to number of sites linking back to your site
If you feel interested you can find links to other cab drivers’ blogs around the globe there. Unfortunately there is no cab driver from India who blogs
Update: newyorkhack.blogspot.com author Melissa Plaut has been quoted by the
NewYork Post in the article
25 things every NewYorker should know and the interesting part is i got to know her name from the post and found her picture using
Google Image Search. Its now more exciting to read the blog because she is famous and also she looks cool!

Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani, Rajasthan.

Ok first let me tell you why im talking about this, unfortunately I couldnot go home during my Holi break[11.03.2006-19.03.2006] so i decided to go to this place to meet my “old friends”.
The around 6 hr. travel you have to go through from Delhi to reach BITS makes you feel like a trip to HEll, I dont know how people at BITS tolerate this. When you reach the campus main gate the ‘guard’ doesnt even care to look at who is coming in or going out(then why is he sitting there?), then you see long roads(not so long) with trees along, wait dont imagine a scene like in the wallpapers this one is quite different, it looks ugly, thanks to the very clean maintenance of the campus. You see huge statues of important people(tough to recognise who they are) at every junction. There is another facility at the junctions, signs indicating which road leads to which building, but may be the letters are in Times New Roman 8Pt. Italics you cannot read the board unless you are standing right infront of it! Bhavans(Hostel Buildings) are the main attraction at BITS, the construction resembles a cenrtal asian style construction(not really) with green paint for fittings. Bhavan’s name is right at the middle of it, once again can be read only if you stand infront of the building and ofcourse if the big tree infront of the building doesnt block it. Who in the world can think of planting a tree right infront of the main entrance? persians may be;) The hostel rooms have all the modern facilities but in an almost half century old construction. The whole campus is networked by the goodwill of the Alumni Association or else BITS is no more than a remote village(it still is though). Internet connections at blazing speed are provided to stay connected with the outside world. They say the speed is possible because of some proportionality with distance worked out by some tech savvy BITSians which the others beleive in. There is something called a RADI where you can eat the famous Sam Chaat which is unbeleivably delecious(for BITSians). ANC seems to be meant for Fried Maagi. The mess has the food seperated into basic and Extra items. Connaught(called cannot in BITS) is a big shopping mall with lots of Restaurants and shops to buy anything you want! There is a temple which can be called Only Morning Temple(OMT) because its dark in the night. There is a good library, inspired by some strange kind of construction style once again built by the good grace of the Alumni Association.
There are lots of other things which are of no or very less improtance and i can’t talk about them because time is precious.
For we the people who live in the normal world, RADI is a road side place for snacks, Sam Chaat is some mixture made from samosas, ANC is All Night Canteen(don’t know why it is all-night when it is closed at 2:00). Boozers need to travel for about 15 mins in pat pati(a strange kind of auto-rikshaw)and reach a dhaba, where the arangements are not bad but the thing here is its cheap!
Most people at BITS are very much satisfied with the place and are happy to be there, well thats because they haven’t seen other places.
Now a few lines about BITS in BITSians’ language
In my opinion BITS is too much hype, actually its a very gen college with nothing to do but GHOT and people there have zero enthu towards other activities. If you are trying for an admission, take it light!
My Ratings-
BITS overall: 1.5/5
BITS Hostels(Bhavans): 0.25/5
BITS Life: 1/5
BITS Pilani in general is considered one of the best institutes imparting technical education in India. The above post is my personal opinion and is a collection of my experiences, it should never be considered as a review. Im in no way connected to BITS, pilani.

Earlier i thought Google will someday give Microsoft a run for its money but i think not.
Google’s recent releases could not make much hype on the web like the earlier ones used to.
Google Pack, Google Video, and beta testing on a very limited users servieces like GMail for your Domain, Google Pages and ofcourse the Google Analytics where they say they are adding more resources to better the service……………I really hate it, they always say that. Why cant they say we are not providing the service for new users??
Mean while Microsoft has made an impression with Live (http://www.live.com) more over Microsoft is getting ready for a big release of its latest OS Windows Vista. I am sure Vista will impress because Microsoft had put in a lot of time and resources into it.
Now I feel Google will never be able to surpass Microsoft excpet for the share prices;).

There were recent allegations that information provided by Wikipedia cannot be trusted for its accuracy. What actually happened is
this : Some guy’s(read the previous link to know which guy) biography at wikipeida showed that he was involved in the assasination of John.F.Kenndy and his brother and that page stayed uncorrected in Wikipedia for months. As i told you in my earlier post, Wikipedia can be edited by anyone as they like. But you cant write your own story and say it is the life history of the great warriror Achilles. A group of people called Administrators

keep checking the pages for changes and see whethear the changes improve upon the previous post or not. But somehow this guy escaped from their(Wikipedia’s) Admin group and the article went unnoticed. The guy who was alleged as involved in assasination felt bad about it.

So he wrote an
article in USA Today about it. Then people all over the internet started saying “this issue rises doubts about the accuracy of information provided by Wikipeida”.
Now to the rescue of Wikipedia came the famous science magazine
Nature. They compared Wikipedia with Britanica and
concluded that Wikipedia is comparable to Britanica as far as the Science articles are concerned. Wikipedia’s founder quickly supported this by saying “most of our users are more interested in Science and Technology, POP culture
and Socail Life”.
What ever the story may be, the articles at Wikipedia were compiled by many individual volunteers and they have woked hard to get to this stage. No system is completely failsafe. Errors creep in. That doenst mean that we should completely abandon the Online Free Enclyclopedia but it would be better to recheck the information before relying on it, after all we are not paying for it.

Meebo is one website which makes you feel like you are using a web OS rather than a browser!!
Its an AJAX based online messenger service which allows you to connect to various networks likeYahoo, MSN, Google(GTalk), ……
Though it is still in an alpha phase it rocks, seriously rocks. Just visit the site, you cant beleive your eyes. The people behind it are working really hard to get it running smoothly and are making constant improvements to it.
So the next time you chat use Meebo.
My quote: Meebo – Never install a messenger again!
